We have always owned Juventus . It’s not a business; it’s a passion;
it’s a personal passion, which is shared by many people.

The Avvocato, with “le roi “ Michel Platini in 1988. Their relationship has continued even beyond the experience with Juventus.

Platini is no doubt one of the greatest players of all time, like Pelè, Cruyff, Di Stefano. It was a great loss when he left Juventus: we miss him.

Who wins, Juventus or the best team? I am lucky, usually the two things coincide.

Everyone else talks about Juventus style, not us

Football has changed, but I wouldn’t say for the best. I preferred how football was in the past. Above all, football is broad casted, extremely debated and commented on a lot by newspapers. It leads to a certain dysfunction on the sporting side of football.

Ferrari has been present on the race track for many years, with a very high percentage of success, and this has contributed to create the image which people have of Ferrari today. I have the impression that even without Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari would achieve just as much enthusiasm.

I’ve always considered him the best Formula1 driver in the world, even when many people didn’t think so. In one occasion I had to reprimand him because during a race he had done something I didn’t approve of, but I don’t remember what. I have a very good relationship with him. I put him on the same level as Fangio.

During Zeno Colò’s time, his downhill skiing was like a horse race: hitting the slopes, if not plowing, huge gaps, a surreal atmosphere, almost like conquering the wild West. Today no more: today Tomba, Ghedina and Compagnoni are “machines” and “ ski boats” that are very sophisticated to make one single comparison plausible: one with Formula1 and another with speedboat racing. You can win or lose in just a hundredth of a second. And just like in Formula 1 racing, very often one wonders what comes first, man or machine, heart and legs, or car and computer.

Going upside down on a skeleton sled along the icy walls of the Cresta Run is one of those experiences that is impossible to forget. [...]. The spirit of the Cresta is not only in the inebriation of men who dare to defy danger by rushing headlong down a narrow track of ice. The spirit is everything that is around: the place, rules, rituals, anecdotes, records, symbolic awards, in short, everything that makes up a more than a century-old tradition of courage and passion which is updated from time to time with a few requirements or just fearless innovations.

But above all there is one thing that makes the experience of the Cresta Run and the atmosphere of the St. Moritz Tobogganing Club something that is truly unique: it is the spirit of camaraderie that unites people from different countries, walks of life, age, professions, different social classes whose taste for the challenge cements friendships to last a lifetime.

Before the war, as a young boy, I did regattas with sailors and lifeguards in Forte dei Marmi. Then the boats were six meter long, small boats. My experience at sea started in this way.

Seeing a boat on land does not mean anything. Boats are to be seen at sea and in competition with one another...

    The texts collected in this website are taken from interviews and statements issued by Gianni Agnelli to the press, broadcasters and agencies, in Italy and abroad, from his prefaces of books, as well as "Intervista sul Capitalismo Moderno", edited by Arrigo Levi for Laterza in 1938. The editorial action has been limited to a few additions, that were necessary for the understanding of some passages, and some slight formal adjustments in the case of transcripts of television programs and the meeting with the students of the Sorbonne that took place on April 23, 1989 as part of the Citè de la Réussite.
